BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT

BROWS/FRECKLES&BEAUTY MARKS: Clients should avoid any other type of procedures in the treatment area, such as laser therapy, chemical peels, Botox, fillers, as this may prevent your treatment being performed by your technician at the time you want it. No facial acids (Retin A, salicylic, glycolic) 14 days before or after treatment. No Botox or fillers 21 days before or after treatment. No microneedling or PRP 21 days before or after treatment. No laser or peels (depending on intensity of peel) for 90 days before or after treatment. On the day of treatment do not take aspirin as it may increase bleeding and it is recommended to avoid caffeine on the day of treatment as well.

LIP BLUSH: Clients with a history of cold sores must speak to their doctor & begin taking antiviral medication (Valtrex, Zovirax, Famvir) 2-3 days before the treatment and 3-5 days after the treatment [failure to do this before the lip blush treatment can result in painful cold sore clusters & bad healed results]. LIP BLUSH clients that smoke MUST STOP SMOKING for proper healing and color retention [failure to stop smoking will result in bad healed results as heat and tar exposure will change the lip color].

  • if you are pregnant or breastfeeding

  • if you have diabetes or healing disorders

  • metal plates, pins or other implants

  • cardio-vascular deficiencies including severe uncontrolled blood pressure

  • pacemaker or any other medical device with an electrical current

  • current or recent hemorrhage

  • malignancy and chemotherapy in the past 3 years

  • if you are prone to keloid scars

  • if you suffer from auto-immune disease or other illnesses which affect the immune system

WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR DAY OF TREATMENT?

On the treatment day you can come in with make up on as we will clean the area to be treated thoroughly. It is recommended to come in with brow makeup on so your practitioner can see your ideal brow shape. For lips you are welcome to bring in a lip color as general color direction but keep in mind our goal is a natural lip blush effect (not heavy full lipstick coverage). Do not take aspirin as it may increase bleeding and it is recommended to avoid caffeine on the day of treatment as well. During the first session we will mark out the desired shape and/or hair strokes until the client approves. A numbing agent is placed on treatment area and left to take effect for 20 minutes (anyone with a lidocaine allergy cannot be numbed). When the area is sufficiently numb the treatment will begin. During the treatment you may feel some minor irritation. A numbing agent will be reapplied during the treatment to ensure you are comfortable. Treatment time will last approximately 3 hours. You will be given after care instructions & an aftercare packet. For brows, freckles, beauty marks & lip blush, the second session will be scheduled 6-8 weeks after the first session.

AFTER YOUR TREATMENT (BROWS/FRECKLES&BEAUTY MARKS)

You must follow the provided aftercare protocol to expedite the healing process and ensure long lasting results.

  • Clean the ointment off your brows two hours after your appointment with the water and gauze in your packet.

  • Treatment area should be DRY HEALED for 10 days after treatment (freckles & beauty marks may heal in less).

  • It is critical you DO NOT PICK any scabs or flaking from treatment area during the healing process. The area will become itchy during the natural healing process and you can use the aftercare ointment sparingly if needed to avoid picking. During the healing process the scabs may still be connected to the pigment that has been implanted in the dermis. Picking the skin may remove areas of pigment and leave open spots after healing.

  • You will be given disposable eye shields in your aftercare packet to protect your treatment area during showering. After showering use clean paper towels to blot the treatment area dry.

  • No sweating (no exercising or activities that create sweating), no moisturizers or makeup on the treatment area, & no direct sun exposure (wear a hat). Keep area dry by blotting with a clean, lint-free cloth or blotting paper to keep treatment area free from natural oils.

  • Day 10: you can wash brows, moisturize treatment area and take showers normally again.

  • Treatment area may appear reddish and/or darker in color for the first week. This is temporary and will go away naturally during the healing process.

  • Do not use any exfoliating, anti aging, anti acne products (retinoids, glycolic acids, vitamin C, AHA/BHA, enzyme washes, serums, etc.) near and around your brows area at least 2 weeks prior to your session and 2 weeks after for best healed results.

  • No treatments such as lasers, peels, waxing, botox, tinting, etc. for 2 weeks after your appointment.

  • Sometimes the tattoo will appear lighter after the dead skin comes off and the color will darken & “bloom” back to the surface later on.

  • Final results from each session will appear clearly after about 6 weeks, then it will be time for your follow up.

  • Drink plenty of water to promote a faster healing process.

  • During the 2nd session we will assess your results and your skin’s reaction to the process, tweak and adjust anything that’s needed (overall shape, specific hair strokes, & color).

  • Repeat the same aftercare after the second session.

    AFTER YOUR TREATMENT (LIPS)

You must follow the provided aftercare protocol to expedite the healing process and ensure long lasting results.

    • Clean the ointment off your lips two hours after your appointment with the water and gauze in your packet.

    • Treatment area should be kept well moisturized with recommended balm (Hustle Butter or Aquaphor) for 5-8 days after treatment until flaking skin has all fallen off on its own.

    • Initial swelling should go down after 24-36 hours.

    • It is critical you DO NOT PICK any flaking skin from treatment area during the healing process. The area may become itchy during the natural healing process. During the healing process the flaking skin may still be connected to the pigment that has been implanted in the dermis. Picking the skin may remove areas of pigment and leave open spots after healing.

    • Avoid direct sun exposure, spicy foods and absolutely NO SMOKING.

    • Do not use any exfoliating, anti aging, anti acne products (retinoids, glycolic acids, vitamin C, AHA/BHA, enzyme washes, serums, etc.) near and around your lip area at least 2 weeks prior to your session and 2 weeks after for best healed results.

    • During the 2nd session we will assess your results and your skin’s reaction to the process, tweak and adjust anything that’s needed (fill in open spots & tweak color).

    • Repeat the same aftercare after the second session.

  • pacemaker or any other medical device with an electrical current

WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR DAY OF TREATMENT?

First we will schedule a virtual consultation wherein you can show our practitioner your current hair pattern and discuss your goals. We will discuss the process in full and after you are completely satisfied with the hair loss treatment plan we will schedule your treatment. Typically, you’ll require 2-3 sessions depending on the amount of coverage, each approximately 2-3 hours long, scheduled 2 weeks apart to get the optimum result.

On the treatment day it is recommended that no make-up or moisturizer is worn on the treatment area. Come in with clean skin and hair (we will also clean the area before treatment begins). For men getting the SMP procedure please shave down your hair at least 24 hours before the day of the procedure. On the day of treatment do not take aspirin as it may increase bleeding and it is recommended to avoid caffeine on the day of treatment as well.

The 1st session is used to mark out your desired hairline style and lay the foundation of replicated hair follicles. After the 1st session, you will notice an immediate difference and a fuller look appearing. During the treatment you may feel some heat and minor irritation. Treatment time will last from 1-3 hours depending on the size of the treatment area and amount of breaks requested by the client. During your first appointment you will be given aftercare instructions. Following these instructions is critical for best results. No shampoo, exfoliators or harsh cleansers can be used in the week following treatment. You should also avoid rubbing or scratching the treated area.

The 2nd session (and 3rd if needed) are used to add additional layers of density to create the appearance of a full shaved head of hair, and eliminate any sign of hair loss. We spend a lot of time blending into your existing hair for a seamless and natural look. We can make minor adjustments to the hairline in these sessions as well. After each treatment our practitioners will provide you with aftercare instructions. For MEN getting SMP on a shaved head, your results should last approximately 4-6 years. For WOMEN or MEN getting hairline restoration within their existing hairstyle, your results should last approximately 3-6 years. Individual results vary depending on the color of pigment used, your aftercare and lifestyle (i.e. daily direct sun exposure and certain hair products will fade the results faster).

AFTER YOUR TREATMENT

Your will be given after care instructions. You must follow the provided aftercare protocol to expedite the healing process. A second treatment may be performed after 2 weeks depending on your treatment plan & your skin’s healing process.

Do not use creams, lotions or moisturizers after the treatment. DRY HEALING is recommended for 6-8 days. Avoid getting the head wet during that time. The skin may become flaky and itchy during the healing process and this is normal. DO NOT PICK the flaking skin as this can create infection and disturb & remove the pigment we have implanted in your skin. The area will be slightly red after the treatment but this should subside after 24 hours. If needed you can wear a hat to cover the treatment area but make sure it is clean to keep the treatment area as sterile as possible. Drink plenty of water to promote a faster healing process.
